23 is a London based creative agency founded by Matt Roach + Emma Hetherington. Newest member of the team is Seven, pictured below.
A graduate of the London College of Printing, Matt started off as art director of Dazed & Confused magazine in late nineties Shoreditch, working concurrently on various projects with talents such as Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Katie Grand, Katy England, Nick Knight and Nick Waplington.
After graduating with first class honours from the Central Saint Martins Fine Art Film + Video degree course, Emma trained with some of the world’s leading cinematographers at Ridley Scott Associates. She went on to specialise in creating 16mm films for various music and fashion clients from Kylie Minogue to Gucci.
Partners in life since 1997, we finally decided to combine our creativity and form 23 in 2007.
Since then some of our favourite projects have been: creative direction of 15 issues of LOVE magazine as well as issue one of Perfect magazine – both for Katie Grand; art direction of two Gucci Children’s Collection catalogues; art direction of two campaigns for Gucci, including films; branding for Perfect, including logo and website; and art direction of campaigns for Balmain, Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu (including their printed magazine, MiuZine, and a logo for MiuMe), MSGM and Sonia Rykiel.
